I know full well I’m making it incredibly hard for you to enquire. For that I don’t apologise. Don’t worry, I did think ‘shall I make this really quick & easy for the couple or shall I make sure they don’t enquire, book and then realise I'm not the right photographer for them?’ I only take a specific amount of weddings per year and so I need to ensure that the couples enquiring are absolutely the right ones for me, and more importantly I’m the right photographer for them. So please read this little recap list incase you’ve missed anything.
1: I don’t do discounts, I wish I could but I can’t. My truck drinks fuel like its on a 3 day bender so I need all the money I can to keep up with his needs.
2: My packages and prices are on my website clear as day. Please make sure you’ve seen these before you enquire. You will shop around and you’ll see a lot of variation in pricing amongst photographers. So why am I priced where I am? Simply put, I pride myself on the balancing act of capturing your day whilst allowing you to have a good experience. You’ll never love a photograph if the effort that went into achieving it caused you stress. This will be the biggest difference in my pricing. Many other photographers will provide you with EPIC images but how they get those might mean standing in the rain or wind for 30 minutes, missing entire parts of your day or forcing you into things you don’t like. I’ll never do this, and for this reason you’ll get real images that are hopefully beautiful but that give you happy memories too.
3: My films aren’t FILMS, they are hybrid films. That means a maximum of 5-10 minutes. The camera is switching between photos and film constantly recording short 10 second clips never continually. I will never record the speeches or ceremony on a highlight film when doing both photo and film. You absolutely need to understand and accept this before enquiring. If speeches and ceremony are an important part of your coverage then please hire a professionally dedicated videographer. I can point you in the direction of several. I only offer a film only service for elopements and micro weddings.
4: I do not give out RAW photos - ever. If my editing style isn’t for you, please look elsewhere.
5: I enjoy working with couples who love social media as much as me. If you don’t like the idea of potentially appearing on my instagram or website then I may not be the photographer for you. That said, I don’t always post every wedding. If there’s a special reason that some people cannot be online (armed services, adoption or fostering) then please notify me.
7: A successful photo is never just about the camera. It comes from you, self confidence and self love.
